Welcome to ‘Starting a Business and Fundamentals of Marketing’

This module provides you with an introduction to the fundamentals of starting a business, entrepreneurship, and marketing. Our aim is to encourage you to become the inspiring entrepreneurs of the future! You will not only learn the underlying principles of starting a business, but this module will also allow you to think creatively and brainstorm ideas through a relaxed, informal approach to problem solving. The classes are all designed to provide you with a free and open environment that encourages everyone to participate. Quirky ideas are saluted and built upon, and all students are encouraged to contribute fully, helping you to develop a rich array of original business solutions. The course involves lectures and workshops, both of which will be highly interactive and based on ‘learning by doing’. By the end of this module, you will: 

 Develop knowledge of the internal environment of the enterprise and its operations. 

 Confidently deliver a business and a marketing plan 

 Run your own social media campaign 

 Be able to conduct a thorough research of your market 

 Confidently pitch your ideas to others 

Finally, this module is essential in preparing you for moving on to level 4. You will certainly be using the concepts covered in this course throughout the succeeding years of your degree.
